Willys Fresh Cut Fries
Willys has become one of the best known places to head for a late night burger or poutine in the downtown core of Halifax. With the place open late night until 4AM most nights of the week, they manage to beat out even the big fast food names in the industry. When Geoff came to us looking for a new site design, we had the perfect idea for how to put together his new site. With a simple to adjust food menu, beautiful image slider, and all the key details about Willys available on the homepage, we think we pulled it off rather nicely, and so does Willy!
Greenwich Jewellery
When the folks at Greenwich came to us looking for a new website, we had a few ideas in mind. We first started with a Tiffany’s style flat blue and white layout, but as we began to build upon the PlatformPro WordPress template we realized, this site can do even better. With a classier black and white colour theme and a somewhat retro style to accompany their logo we merged wp-e-commerce, mailchimp mailing list management, Google Analytics, and dozens of jewellery pieces into a single simplified and beautiful website.
Wine That Goes With…
It's one thing to decide upon a bottle of wine to drink by itself and a whole other problem when you've got a great meal planned and no idea which wines work well with that meal. You can't just grab any wine otherwise the flavours may mix horribly! The writers behind this site have worked in the wine industry for years, tasting thousands of wines and pairing them with a huge variety of meals. We wanted to put together a site that matches the quality of their experience with the quality in design of their website. With the site you see here, we blew away both our own as well as the customer's expectations!
FieldMasters Canada
This was a redesign of their existing website. We showcased the four major areas of their business using a wonderful WordPress theme and customizing it to get the look and feel of their website. They also opted for a self-managed photo gallery.Working with FieldMasters Canada was a wonderful experience and a great way to learn more about the synthetic turf business.
New World Publishing
New World Publishing was a long time in the making. Although the design was conceptualized in partnership with AJ Levine of Royal Outpost, it was a toss-up as to how we were going to implement it. At the time we had only created a few WordPress sites, and we had heard good things about Joomla. The first attempt was with Joomla and when working around themes heavily based on tables and trying to describe the complex nuances of the back-end to Francis (the owner) got to be too much, we finally gave in and ported it all to WordPress. After months of work the site now stands as an excellent representation of what New World Publishing has to offer.Judit Rajhathy
Judit Rajhathy is a well respected figure in natural medicine in Canada. With a variety of projects always on the go, we wanted to pull together all facets of her life, from her book writing to weekly articles to photography to life in Mexico. Judit’s colour tastes are very web friendly with a huge liking for extremely bright colours. This site is the culmination of all of her talents and tastes – a central resource of “Judit”.Canadian Asset Buyers
When we first heard Josh wanted us to do a cash for gold website we thought, “oh boy, the competition is on,” and we were a bit skeptical about the project. But, after a number of email communications we finally began to warm up to it. Why? Canadian Asset Buyers isn’t just another cheesy cash for gold business; these guys care about the business and that their sellers get their fair share.I guess we could relate. Web Hosting and Development is also a pretty competitive business and both us and Canadian Asset Buyers are trying to represent a classier, more profesional business in a cut-throat industry. This made building the site a challenging and fun task! Thanks for the great opportunity CAB!
Out To Lunch Creations
Out to Lunch Creations started as a design by Abby Schelew – my talented Cousin! It was originally slapped on the Joomla CMS, but the owner, Jesse, found it quite difficult to add new posts in a simple manner. Never wanting a great design to go to waste, we merged Abby’s beautiful design with a WooThemes template to create the scrumptious site you see today.Magic Valley Theme Park
By request from the folks at Magic Valley, we put together a modern and slightly more professional concept for their new site. The entire redesign was based around their need to update the website themselves with park news, photos, new jobs and events.Although the folks at Magic Valley ultimately chose not to go with our redesign, we loved it, so we thought we’d post it for everyone to see.
