Absolutely! Although the Grape Kiwi web design package is fully managed, meaning you can send us your content to post to the website whenever you like, you may want to post it directly yourself. Posting your own content allows you to play with it to see what looks best on the site and is generally faster, since you can post it whenever you like rather than waiting 24-48 hours for us to complete the changes for you.
With all of our website designs, you don't have to worry about messing anything up because you never have to touch the code yourself! You simply login to our WordPress admin panel, look under "Pages" for page content or "Posts" for news/blog articles, and start writing. Best of all, if you run into an issue, we're standing by to take care of it for you. If you make a change you don't like, we can easily revert the page or post to a previous version: we've got you covered!
We most certainly are.
Since we build the site and put everything together for you, we're in the best position to take care of your site for you and we're betting you'll agree. That's why there's no contract.
Yes! However, you cannot take payment through your own credit processor without our e-commerce add-on (for security reasons), however you can direct people to pay through a third party gateway like PayPal or 2Checkout. Simply create a 'products' page and copy and paste the PayPal (or other provider) payment buttons they provide you with onto the page. All set!
Our e-commerce add-on integrates considerably more smoothly with your site design and allows you to capture your client data in a database. It also manages shipping calculations to multiple destinations with variable pricing, multi-province tax, per product price differences, coupons, and tons more. If you're looking for a professional website for selling your products, then we highly recommend purchasing our e-commerce add-on rather than building the product catalogue with WordPress pages yourself.
While we are researching the perfect design options for you, we request that you provide us with the content you would like on each page of your site. This often includes content (including images and video if available) for the following general pages:
- Home
- About
- Staff
- Product(s)
- Contact
- Distinction (how you differ from your competitors)
- A portfolio (if in an industry where this is valuable)
- Testimonials
- A few starting articles discussing hot topics within your industry
The simple photo gallery requires you to use a third party service to manage your photos. Most of the time this is Flickr, but in some cases we can integrate with Facebook albums and Google Picasa WebAlbums. There are often heafty limitations to how we can display the images on your website.
With our advanced photo gallery add-on, we integrate a photo gallery system into your WordPress administration panel. This way you upload and organize your photos from the same place as you update your page content and view your Google Analytics statistics. We also have complete control over how the gallery is integrated into your site, allowing us to make it look exactly the way you prefer it.
With the included email list builder we place a "subscribe to our newsletter" section on your website, often in the sidebar or footer of the site, much like you see in the footer of this site. You are required to sign up for a free MailChimp account, which allows you to login to their system and create email campaigns. Although their administration panel is fairly straightforward and you can use their help documentation to learn how to use the system, we do not provide any guidance for how to use MailChimp.
Our email list design and management add-on is considerably more involved. We create your MailChimp account, design email templates that match your website design and will take care of managing your email user list on-demand. If you need a newsletter sent out, send us the newsletter content and we'll email it out to the group of your choice. If you aren't sure of the best way to format your content for your newsletter, our public relations professional can take your general content and format it perfectly for your newsletter.
